If it's just chipping off in small pieces right at the sidewalls i usually take some really fine grit sandpaper and sand it down a little. It doesn't fill in the gap but it slows down additional chipping. If you're worried about water getting in a little dab of epoxy can seal it pretty well. Sand/prep the surface if you can. Make sure it's dust/wax free. 2)Painters tape as suggested above protects what you don't want to get epoxy on. 3) From my experience, I've had good luck with the orange high peel epoxy holding together a ski I exploded. philip morris international board
