WebSep 29, 2016 · The GPU literally caught fire for about 3 seconds and then i saw smoke coming out at the other end of the PC. This happened whilst i was playing a video game, the screen went dark and i promptly turned off the power supply, the computer was still actually running. I definitely agree that we shouldn't leave components running when we aren't around to monitor. WebBaking it will do absolutely jack shit except fuck up the capacitors on the card. Those caps are rated at 120c max or short bursts at 200 which is the temperature required to solder them in, not 10 minutes at 200c..
