I recommend 100 70 50 35 as a starting point and possibly lighter. A 95-40 set has tension increasing from low to high which is the very opposite of what is optimum. WebTapping is just doing hammer-ons and pull-offs with the fingers of your picking hand. But, if OP is looking for which amp settings and/or effects will facilitate tapping, I’d suggest high gain. A guitar set up with low action might help as well. I’m also a fan of scalloped fingerboards, which can really help with the pull-off action of the tapping.
