WebJun 17, 2012 · About 2 weeks ago my dosage of Citalopram was reduced from 20mg to 10mg. I had been on 20mg for nearly 6 years. Since the reduction I have felt really up and down. Tearful, very sick, dizzy and generally down. I have very intense dreams and wake up exhausted most days. Some days are not too bad. WebFeb 23, 2014 · The advice I've had from the doctors and drug companies, when reducing is to not skip a day but take something every day and reduce the dose by alternating down ie 20,15,20 for a few weeks then 15 mg for a few weeks, then 15,10,15,10mg , then 10mg every day etc. It seems to have worked well for me.
