It involves the congenital malformation of a transitional lumbosacral vertebra, with total or partial and unilateral or bilateral transverse process (TP) fusion or articulation to the sacrum. WebIts recognition is straightforward, but can be overlooked. Meanwhile, its clinical significance is in doubt. The presence of low back pain along with a lumbosacral transitional vertebra makes this syndrome, but it remains controversial. According to Castellvi classification of lumbosacral vertebrae, this case is consistent with type IIa LSTV.
